Forgot to talk about it here when it came out, but I'll still make sure you got Terrorizer #203. Among other things, there's a great Gnaw Their Tongues (one of my favourite acts right now) interview and an extremely interesting Icelandic scene report. As for my stuff, there's a few Choice Cuts features, a bunch of album reviews and my personal highlight - the three-page coverage of South Of Mainstream 2010, complete with a Wino interview and photos from the whole weekend.

Goodbye, Sleazy. We'll miss you.

It's official. Roadburn 2011 has the best line-up ever. EVER. You can quote me on that anytime.

My usual band of the week article is up at Terrorizer's website, and this week it's an amazing new (sort of) doom band called Ensorcelor. Go read and be Ensorceled!

Title: YOB
Subject: YOB
Published: Rock-A-Rolla #21, July/August 2009
Interviewee: Mike Scheidt
Random facts:
- It's Mike. On YOB's return. Armed with The Great Cessation. How can you need any more info? The scale of awesome doesn't register much higher than this.
- YOB pulled a double shift on the last Roadburn because of the volcano cancelations - as if one earth-shaking show wasn't enough, they played again a day after on the Midi Theatre with a different line-up. All hail YOB.
- Doesn't Mike look like an adorable third grade math teacher on this photo?

It's post-post-doom! Process Of Guilt reinvented by Sanford Parker, Echoes of Yul, DJ Mofo, Bosque and Sons of Bronson, mastered by James Plotkin. Visit their facebook and their website and just pre-order the damn thing already.

Heirs and The Night Terrors impressed me so much last weekend that my band of the week article at Terrorizer is entirely devoted to them. Read here!
